ACS Joint-Chapter Speaker Series

The ACS student chapters at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) would like to announce a student-organized seminar on Wednesday, April 21st at 6PM. We will welcome Dr. Philippe Buhlmann, University of Minnesota, to give a seminar entitled “Electrochemical Ionophore-based Sensors: From Fluorous Polymers toNanoporous Carbon and Lipophilic Redox Buffer Polymers“. This seminar series was developed with the goal of bringing quality chemistry seminars to undergraduate students throughout Central Florida in order to increase student’s exposure to cutting-edge research in chemistry, thus increasing interest in the field. In addition to the seminar, students will get the opportunity to have an open discussion with the Dr. Buhlmann prior to the seminar, where they can pose questions on various topics from graduate school, careers in academia and any related topic; please contact UCF’s ACS Student Chapter’s president Joseph Deloretto or FIT’s ACS Student Chapter’s president Jamielyn Jarvis for more information on the student segment.
